The purpose of this project was to design a poster for the Premier’s Awards for Excellence in Education (PAEE) Student Photo Contest. The poster aimed to encourage middle and high school students in British Columbia to participate in the photography contest by submitting photos that promote and showcase the theme “What Reconciliation Means to Me.” The contest sought to engage students from public, independent, and First Nations school systems, highlighting their photographic talents while raising awareness andunderstanding of reconciliation. Additionally, the project aimed to inform students about the contest details, providing instructions, including the timeline, photo requirements, and the prize details for the winner, thereby fostering education about photography and Indigenous culture.
