The project aimed to create an illustration/infographic to educate BC residents on specific preventative measures for rodent control in residential homes. The purpose was to offer residents a comprehensive illustration emphasizing strategies that minimize harm to wildlife and pets. This was achieved by visually connecting detailed parts of the home with corresponding instructions, enhancing understanding and facilitating the implementation of rodent control techniques within a typical residential setting. The infographic was integrated into a 14-page guide published on The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy website.
The Illustration includes both interior and exterior features such as the kitchen, attic, garage, backyard, trees, bushes, grass, backyard composter, and pet food areas. Visual indicators and numbered lines were incorporated to highlight specific areas where prevention techniques could be applied, accompanied by corresponding instructions for residents.
